Laura is a Project Manager at the Improvement Academy, following a secondment as a Clinical Leadership Fellow. She now leads the growing PET Coaches Network supporting over 50 coaches to use PET resources with front line teams to improve patient experience across Yorkshire and Humber. In addition to this work she is supporting the Achieving Reliable Care for Safety programme in the region.
Laura is a physiotherapist and has worked in the NHS for 13 years specialising in the rehabilitation of older people in the community and acute settings. She is motivated by supporting healthcare professionals to bring about quality improvements for the benefit of patients and staff.
Improving quality and safety of care is something Laura is passionate about. She has previously been instrumental in embedding the #endpjparalysis campaign on her ward. As a result she was involved in the following projects: In the name of Safety; Improving Patient Experience; and Yorkshire Safety Huddles. This provided valuable insights and opportunities for her to apply her clinical knowledge.
Our partnerships are centred in the Yorkshire and Humber region but extend nationally. We are continuously developing our partnerships and relationships with health and care organisations.
