In A Nutshell:

Leading Well, Staying Well is a 1-day face-to-face, highly interactive workshop for up to 20 participants, equipping participants with knowledge and skills with which to role model the behaviours necessary for psychologically safe and inclusive workplaces.  The 1-day programme covers foundational topics, and additional modules are also available, giving participants chance to explore an area/s in more depth.

This 1-day programme distils the latest understanding in coaching, leadership and psychology, and includes the following modules:

  • Leading change: roles, remits and boundaries
  • Leadership style: emotional intelligence & creating psychological safety
  • Managing burnout: essentials from neuroscience & coaching
  • Optional module (see below)

Optional modules (choose one of the following):

  • Civility & EDI
  • Psychological safety masterclass
  • Handling difficult conversations and managing conflict
  • Developing trust and relationships with patients, families and carers
  • Intergenerational staff dynamics

The workshop is suitable for all:

Anyone, whatever their level or paygrade, with a role in leading people and/or leading change within health or social care settings.  The main pre-requisite is that they have a commitment to:

  • understanding themselves and their individual leadership roles and styles
  • self-development and ongoing learning
  • creating positive workplace cultures
  • role modelling positive behaviours and supporting these in others

Benefits for leaders, their teams, and the people they serve:

Evidence tells us that well‑functioning teams with psychological safety, deliver safer care, adapt better under pressure, and experience higher morale and retention.  We know that transparent, inclusive and adaptive leadership is a critical factor within this.  ‘Leading Well, Staying Well’ gives healthcare leaders of all levels, a chance to reflect on, and re-set, their own leadership role within their team/s.

Our course lead-trainers:

Dr Claire Marsh PhD – Project Manager, Coach & Facilitator
