Helen joined the Improvement Academy Team as a Workstream Lead in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience from an extensive nursing career within the NHS. Throughout her career, she held clinical and senior management roles, primarily in critical care, surgery, medicine, and hospice care, culminating in her position as a Hospice Clinical Manager.

Her work has included leading projects focused on recognising and responding to patient deterioration, which highlighted the critical link between patient safety and timely intervention. This experience sparked her passion for empowering and developing staff to effectively manage change. Helen is also deeply committed to advancing end-of-life care, an area she continues to explore with great interest.
