Implementation Science

Here at the Improvement Academy we are very aware that knowing how to implement well is vital for realising the benefits of evidenced based practices. We therefore aim to make the best implementation science theories, models and frameworks approachable, accessible and meaningful to our partners working in healthcare. We offer:

• implementation training
• coaching and action learning sets to help researchers and clinical staff optimise interventions for implementation success
• specialised support for research teams and clinical staff when preparing for, roll out and evaluate implementation
• diagnosing contexts for implementation barriers and facilitators and then work with teams on the ground to maximise implementation and sustainability over time
• support writing implementation research into research grants

Within the NHS we have been particularly interested in working with healthcare professionals, researchers and policy makers to generate action orientated knowledge to complement the current academic implementation knowledge present in the literature.
