Clinical Fellow
Ellie is an Orthopaedic Registrar based in South Yorkshire with a particular interest in workplace culture and behaviours, and how these influence patient safety and outcomes.
In 2025–26, Ellie undertook a Clinical Leadership Fellowship at the Improvement Academy, working with the Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Collaborative. During her fellowship, she supported the regional implementation of Martha’s Rule and the national pilot of Martha’s Rule in Emergency Departments, with a particular focus on staff and patient engagement, learning and evaluation. She also contributed to the regional Learning from Deaths programme, including Structured Judgement Review training and shared learning across organisations. Alongside her fellowship, Ellie completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership. She has now returned to clinical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics while continuing to support the Improvement Academy in a flexible capacity.
Our partnerships are centred in the Yorkshire and Humber region but extend nationally. We are continuously developing our partnerships and relationships with health and care organisations.
