Foundation Gold Quality Improvement Training – November 2021

Course Dates: Tuesday 9th and Tuesday 16th November 2021, 09:00 – 16:00

Please note delegates must be able to attend both dates.

Course content:

• ‘Silver’ training – focussing on building confidence in the theory (rather than the practice) of carrying out an improvement project using the IHI’s ‘Model for Improvement’.
• How to deliver the silver training course to staff in your trust – including exercises and personal feedback.
• Tools and materials developed by the Improvement Academy to support Gold trainees in their role as QI mentor for staff within their organisation.
• Ongoing membership of the Improvement Academy Quality Improvement Trainers Network (QITN)

Maureen McGeorge
Quality Improvement Training Lead, Improvement Academy

Maureen joined the Improvement Academy in 2014 and has extensive experience of quality improvement training, improving service quality and patients’ experience. She worked with the Royal College of Psychiatrists leading the development and management of many national clinical audit and service accreditation programmes. She also has experience of working in primary care and in acute medicine with the King’s Fund and the Patients’ Association. In 2011, she qualified as an Improvement Advisor with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.

Mark Fuller
Improvement and Transformation Manager, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust

Mark is an experienced Quality Improvement trainer and a leader of quality improvement practice at Harrogate and District NHS foundation Trust. Mark is an Improvement Academy QITN (Quality Improvement Trainers Network) and supports Maureen and the Improvement Academy team in delivering the virtual silver and gold level QI training.
