Shahima leads on, manages and delivers a wide range of engagement activities for research at the Bradford Institute for Health Research. As part of this role, Shahima also leads on communications for the Improvement Academy and the Yorkshire and Humber Applied Research Collaboration.

Shahima joined the Improvement Academy in February 2015 with a background in events management and with qualifications in business administration. Shahima recently completed a Level 4 CIM Marketing Executive Apprenticeship.
