Silver Human Factors Training

In a nutshell: The Improvement Academy is working collaboratively with experts, organisations, frontline staff and patients to explore how Human Factors can be embedded within healthcare delivery. Our Human Factors training is designed to meet the needs of organisations and frontline staff and, most importantly, contribute to reducing patient harm. Silver level Human factors training is face-to-face training delivered through a one-day course. The course can be accessed individually or as a clinical team.

The Improvement Academy offers a one-day face-to-face ‘Silver-level’ training course in Human Factors, designed to build on the knowledge acquired in the Bronze entry level e-learning. The aim of the day is to equip trainees with the basic knowledge and skills to begin to use Human Factors at work to improve patient safety.

The content of the day centres on understanding organisational culture, understanding human error, exploring non-technical skills and how these skills can be enhanced. All trainees on the Silver Human Factors course will receive a certificate of attendance.

NOTE: To register for the Silver Human Factors course, participants must have previously have completed the Bronze online training.
