A full day practical session on how to produce and plot SPC in Healthcare. This is designed to support managers and analysts in the Yorkshire & Humber providing hands-on experience of designing and developing SPC charts.

The workshop/event is FREE to all NHS and Care organisation staff within the Yorkshire and Humber region, but a cancellation charge of £50 may apply if less than 48 hours’ notice is given.

As a pre-requisite to this course you must have attended one of the 'Understanding and Reducing Variation in Healthcare' workshops (see here for the next session). This event is focused on the practicalities of constructing SPC charts using Excel.  The 'Understanding and Reducing Variation in Healthcare' events concentrate on the theory, history and evidence for Statistical Process Control.

Users must provide their own laptop and have MS Excel installed to be used on the day, and be comfortable with formulas and formatting charts, as the majority of the day is spent using Excel.

Professor Mohammed A Mohammed
Professor of Healthcare, Quality & Effectiveness, University of Bradford

Professor Mohammed has extensive experience in health care quality in both primary and secondary care and is a leading expert in SPC. He has also published a number of key papers on the use and abuse of statistics.

Professor Mohammed is a Professor of Healthcare, Quality & Effectiveness in the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Bradford and the Deputy Director at The Bradford Institute of Health Research. He is an Academic Advisor to the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Sciences Network Improvement Academy.
