Maxine Kuczawski

Maxine is the Improvement Programme Manager for the urgent and emergency care programme of work. She is based at the University of Sheffield and has worked with the Improvement Academy since March 2014. The project is also match-funded by the Collaboration and Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care for Yorkshire and Humber (CLAHRC YH): Avoiding Attendance and Admission Theme in Long-Term Conditions.

Since completing a Masters degree in Epidemiology in 2007, most of Maxine’s experience has been research-orientated in public health and secondary care.  Having worked in the Health Protection Agency Centre for Infections and The Royal College of Surgeons of England, Maxine broadened her experience to a management role where most recently she was the Project Manager for the AHEAD Study, an NIHR funded study investigating the management of anticoagulated patients who suffer head injury.
