Jackie Hallam - Safety Measurement Project Manager

Jackie joined the Improvement Academy in July 2015 as Project Manager for the Measurement and Monitoring of Safety project. She will also take on the PM role for the Dementia project.

She is a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife. Most of her clinical experience has been in midwifery as a Labour Ward midwife and she was also Manager of Ante Out-Patient Services at Calderdale.   Since 2003 she widened her experience to incorporate Maternity Risk Management and Clinical Governance and was Project Manager for the Maternity Safer Patient Initiative project at Calderdale and Huddersfield which was a 2 year project from 2009 to 2011, funded by The Health Foundation.  This led to her becoming the Midwife Lead for Quality, Improvement and Safety at CHFT until 2014.

Immediately prior to joining the Improvement Academy team she was Project Manager/Lead Nurse for the Implementation of Nervecentre, across Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS FT which is an electronic recording system for patient observations designed to ensure early detection of the deteriorating patient with appropriate escalation and intervention to improve patient outcomes.

She is a Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner.
